We read Tacky the Penguin by Helen Lester today, and we created some wacky penguin pictures. For science today, we did an experiment to demonstrate why we cannot see stars in the daytime. Students created constellations by shining flashlights through cups with carefully poked holes in the bottom, and then they used another flashlight to represent the sun. When they flashed "sun"light on the constellation, the stars disappeared!
