We also started a very cool science unit this week about biomimicry. We used the concept of biomimicry to do a fun project today. Each student made a Secret Box. They could put anything they wanted in their box, but their box was for them and only them - it's a secret! So they needed to come up with a way to protect their Secret Box, inspired by plant and animal features that are used for protection. Some students protected their box with quills, like a porcupine, some used shark teeth, others used venom or poison. Ask your child about his or her Secret Box!
As always, please reach out if you ever have any questions or concerns that you would like to discuss with me. I'm happy to chat with you!
