We learned about fire safety this morning from some of New Boston's finest community helpers! The big takeaway: "Stay low and Go!" Students learned that they should crawl on hands and knees if there is smoke. Please have a family meeting to discuss some important safety issues:
- Students should know the best routes to get out of the house and where your family's meeting place is outside.
- Students also need to know how to call 911 (If you do not have a home phone, could your child use your cell phone to call 911 if you are unable to?).
- Students need to know their street address to tell the dispatcher.
On a lighter note, we made pumpkin pets today!! It was so fun! Students named their pets and wrote about what made their pumpkin pet special.
